Want to see where this takes me. Keeping thoughts in mind is tedious so why not write them down.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.comBlogger47125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-62992772836403610782013-04-06T20:53:00.000-07:002013-04-06T20:53:15.515-07:00Finishing up 2012The odd club here, the occasional concert there, visits and dinners, equals a balanced life back in the end of 2012.
Speaking of balance, this is something I haven't been doing so well this year. We determine in October via the findings from an MRI or CT scan that I am in need of a hip replacement. So lets go back to the Olympics year where I spent 8 months on crutches due to not one but 2 fractures on my right pelvis. So now 2 years later we need a new right hip. Not the same animal, keep this in mind, same vicinity, but two entirely different problems.
I saw the orthopaedic surgeon in December and he says, yes, I am a good candidate for the surgery. Just worn out. (Too much Hula is my story and I'm sticking to it!) So anytime between December 4th and the end of March 2013 is when I can expect to have this done. So in my mind the timing for this is not that bad. What is the problem is that I just don't know when to give in to pain and see the doctor, sooner rather than later. I'm sure I could have been healing sometime in the autumn had I pursued the pain sooner. I have seriously learned my lesson. In fact now I go to the doctor for every little odd sign that is out of the ordinary.
Ok, I can accept this, pretty much have to and I am ok with major surgery. I Google, and Youtube and read as much as I can and am pretty comfortable with the whole concept. Some of the scientists are finding out things for me. I throw some test questions at the surgeon, hmmmm, now I might have concerns as I'm not liking his response to my questions - he has given the wrong answers. I have up to 3 months to get my house in order both at home and work. Tough task. I also have lots of Groupons to use up before I go to the hospital so I time those throughout the months and before they expire. Organization is the key. I call the surgeons office frequently and send them information so they know that I am keen and knowledgeable. I ask lots more questions. Getting good answers now.
All my people at work have been extremely kind, helpful and understanding. Very supportive too. I am very lucky. The pain at this point is more ingrained now but movement is more debilitating than anything. Really tired of taking the painkillers. They almost do the trick.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-30879891180947496222013-03-04T21:22:00.001-08:002013-03-04T21:22:39.685-08:00know thy blog(s)!Note to self - know thy blog(s)!
apparently I wrote about random formations when it happened back in Nov 2010.
Sheesh,
I am embarrassed. :(Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-4018502675740980082013-03-04T21:18:00.000-08:002013-03-04T21:18:31.364-08:00I wrote the following on November 21, 2010.
I opened the blinds to expose the light of day. I looked away, then back to my view; there was one, then another, oh really? Is this true? Another and another, more falling ever so quietly in random formation. Large and small in silent attack of my yard. Their approach made me think of aliens beginning their ascent to earth. My earth, my yard no less. I retreat and returned armed with pen and paper - they knew something was up. All was still. No aliens. They dispersed to examine and report to the Head Ice.
I knew it wouldn't last, the second set of rookies are falling in willie-nillie fashion. Rookies. No control. They'll be salted for sure.
The straight shooters are coming in now - with slow and graceful control. Only once in a while, with the help of some sharp wind, one will be catapulted diagonally to the ground at a speed that is sure to sting upon landing.
Quiet again, then one and another. No doubt it will be a slow and chill takeover today. Best to stay out of sight.

However so much has happened - I have been poised to have a total hip replacement in 13 days from now. So let me take you back to April last year where we last left off. I had 3 weeks holidays where we went to Kauai, Las Vegas and Nelson BC. Kauai was lovely but this is where I started to feel uncomfortable. I thought it was the combination of the car we rented (seat seemed uncomfortable) and the fact that I didn't sleep with pillow under my knees. Then the Vegas trip had me walking the strip shaped like the letter C. We went for massage and I thought the woman was going to rip my leg off. The Nelson trip was nice - we doddled across the lower level of the province and back again. Visited some cousins in Montrose and looked for my childhood house. The fact that we were driving was nice and it caused no strain on the body until I had to exit the car.
So thinking that I've just pulled muscles somehow and the fact that I was finding it brutally difficult to do anything in Yoga let alone anything else in the gym, I finally decided to go see the doctor.
First he said, well we will just manage the pain.
Started back at my chiropractor - but that wasn't doing anything for me. I had a reservation to rent a scooter but when I looked at it, the mere thought of sitting on it wondering if I would tip over and not be able to save myself (on the right side) just had me walking away sadly - I have wanted to ride a scooter for a number of years now. Now it will never happen I am sorry to say.
I had an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon at the end of June but for my shoulder. Well don't ya know that my long-head bicep tendon on my left arm has been sprung. But it gets better, when they compared the left shoulder to the right shoulder they found they match! yessirreebob I blew out the right arm tendon a bunch of years prior. So presently this pain was overriding the hip pain.
I bought a new car. My little lovely Malibu Maxx was giving me some signals that it might be time to trade it in and I was correct. Got quite the $$$trade in. Timing is everything. So the new ride is an ashen-grey 2012 Chev Equinox. Loving it. Didn't even have separation anxiety when I left my Maxx in White Rock.
Meanwhile the pain in lower quadrant is looming - I went to the pool and discovered that the buoyancy allows you to do things you just can't do on land. Yay.
Walking is still a struggle. I canvassed my workplace and gathered quite the list of physio people to see. I chose one in Surrey. The man is marvelous. TENS therapy, Heat, Accupuncture and pelvic manipulation. Can you spell Relief!!!!! Finally........
Went to Lions game with Mrs. Cox. that was fun, difficult walking - she was quite worried. Lions lost.
Two weeks after I take delivery of my car I get a call to test drive a BMW. If I do I get a $50 Fairmont Hotel gift card. Ummmm Yeah... well what a surprise that was. Great drive, great car and I talked it up to everyone I saw after that. Gee I could become a convert from Chevy to BMW. It was amazing.
Went to my FIRST Roller Derby match - no I wasn't skating - I was in the audience cheering on one of the former lab students who has taken up the sport. That was a lot of fun. Went to a bigger and better match in Richmond with Mary Mary from the old 'hood. She enjoyed it too.
We went to see Bonnie Raitt. Was royally entertained. She is amazing.
Spent my 2nd not so happy birthday. I think I've figured it out now. I'm not letting that happen again. Already started planning a party for myself for 2013.
I'm going to close this entry by telling you that I drove to Seattle early October to see those charming Italian youth known as Il Volo - they are 18 years old and put on a wonderful show. They were coming to Vancouver to sing on the Barbara Streisand concert but I didn't want to see her,, I wanted to see them. So glad I went.
Next I will fill you in on my antics from November 2012 onward.
Oh, also, you must log onto a Blog entitled "2 Fat People in an RV", hilarious. enjoyOuijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-65966508722975625492012-04-02T18:55:00.000-07:002012-04-02T18:55:34.322-07:00I'll be right backWhere does that time go?
Yes, like the title said, I'll be right back.
seems that I'm having log-in troubles with this.
Hold that thought, ok? ok!, ThanksOuijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-8542122518756448652011-03-11T13:05:00.000-08:002011-03-11T13:05:19.300-08:00Almost ready to walk away from technologyhmmm
I'll be up for sainthood soon with the patience I have been showing since December 22, 2010.
New Blackberry Bold 9780 to replace my sweet little friend BBCurve. I broke her. Bold is giving me attitude. Keyboard is stiff, unintuitive, unfriendly. And the biggy - I can't sync my old calendar to the new phone to my laptop and have all events showing back to 2008. Any suggestions to this?
As of yesterday we have the calendar from old phone sync'd to new phone and that is where it stops. So I might be half happy.

Next my work computer packed it in on Feb 24, 2011. Capacitors blew up. So the hospital doesn't seem to want me to work very hard very soon. Received a new computer and eventually they hooked me up to the network (only in a partial capacity) and now waiting for the finalization - desktop, permanent profile and admin rights to install software. Well don't you know - the new one packed it in today too. So now we repeat all the above. Sorry Doctors - can't help you - Hospital doesn't want me to work for the next couple of weeks.

So on top of all this mayhem, Rogers land line was sold to Primus. Primus to migrate our data on March 1st. Home line done ok. Manly Mann's business line - not done, not good, 11 days with out a phone. We call them daily - they write up tickets. We email PR dept - get a call. We write to the CEO - TBA. We are losing business and need to pay bills. What do we do? On Day 9 I was told they take this very seriously. hmmmm

We'll see what the CEO has to say. Stay tuned for this one.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-43584186717709530452010-11-21T19:05:00.000-08:002010-11-21T19:05:42.347-08:00Falling in random formationNovember 21, 2010
I opened the blinds to expose the light of day. I looked away, then back to my view; There was one, then another, oh really? Is this true? Another and another, more falling ever so quietly in random formation. Large and small in silent attack of my yard.
We won a journal from Safeway pulltabs. I was in a parade with 600 motorcycles on Saturday and I got to stop traffic on a major thoroughfare to let them all out of a parking lot. That was fun. I'm not on crutches anymore - that makes me VERY happy. Huge boost to my mental state knowing that the physical state is finally getting better. Not perfect yet and it will be some time yet but I've come this far and I have nothing but time and my patience back. I actually weeded the garden on Saturday too.
That felt good. However the back gardens need my attention now so maybe I'll do a little bit tomorrow. I have 5 days off coming up - so excited. An extra long weekend. The weather is cooler today, even at lunch time. That was a surprise. I went out at lunch expecting warmth and brrrrrr.......
So if Best Buy has dropped the price on a TV I'm looking at by $200 what is the chance that it will go lower? hmmmmm do I feel lucky? Well punk, do I? How long should I wait on this one? It was going to be our Christmas present. What to do, what to do? I'm open to suggestions. Anyone?
Let's see, what else is new..... hmmmmmm...... I seem to have lost a bit of weight. I think that comes with being more mobile. I saw Lady Gaga concert with a good friend. Was a fantastic production. Would have gone the second night too, it was that good. Even the opening act were good - pretty funny and entertaining. Then we saw Huey Lewis and the News at the PNE. How's that for contrast. The sound there was amazing.
I've gone through and looked at the posts by the people that I follow and my closest buddies haven't posted. Kind of like me I guess. Well get back at 'er folks! And I will too. I've been thinking about taking another course. Haven't delved into what yet though. Even art or drawing because the only think I can draw are flies.
Currently reading the MacKenzie Phillips biography "High on Arrival" OMG - what a story this is. Amazing she is still alive - what an existence for a child to go through and that is only the first chapter.

I want to have a party but the man seems to balk at giving me a list of people he would like to invite. I can't even get him to go a conference (that he should attend) in Las Vegas in November. It would be a write off and fun too! What a pickle puss he is sometimes. That is what he used to call me. Well that is lots of ramblings for now. Something to keep you interested. See ya later!Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-79687106344330050022010-05-24T15:37:00.000-07:002010-05-24T15:37:12.173-07:00Ah the May 2-4 weekendSunny, rainy, cloudy, windy, overcast, repeat.

Stuck inside doing my delinquent taxes. Done! Yay - few hours left to sit in the sun.
I made banana loaf for the husband and banana choc chip muffins for the boy this morning.

I have a vacation day tomorrow - to run errands, go to meetings, take someone out for their retirement lunch, get my hair(s) cut then it's back to the madness and mayhem at the lab on Wednesday. Wow, an even shorter week for me. That is good, I think.

My garden needs me sooo badly. I need it too. Dirt is therapeutic. I just want to dig and pull weeds. My poor roses will hate me. I've nurtured them for 5 years I'd hate to see them die now.

Just found a casserole book and will review it for something for dinner tonight. It has been a while since I made a casserole - I hope I have all the ingredients, meaning that I won't need to go get something.

That's all folks!Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-84092455388823873082010-05-19T22:03:00.000-07:002010-05-19T22:03:15.450-07:00Happy BirthdayTuesday was cake night - the Halekulani Coconut Cake
Wednesday was mango salmon with citrus salad with mango, avocado and hearts of palm toppings.
But where was the guest of honour?
oh disappointment. Live and learn, live and learn.
On a happier note I listened to one of the Brandenburg concertos while cooking - I love those concerti, I could listen to them over and over and over. I think I'll find my Goebel Brandenburg discs for the drive tomorrow.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-74541277121806969082010-05-16T22:10:00.000-07:002010-05-16T22:10:37.676-07:00Time to catch upLet's see what we've been up to in the last couple of weeks.
I'll work backwards - attempted to buy bedding plants and hanging baskets. No baskets and a few plants for the deck planters. Bacopa, pansies, geraniums, begonias and assorted other little odds and ends. 1 heliotrope turned into 4 - oh well the yard will smell lovely. Must get my forsythia, pussywillow and jasmine into the ground this year. No more fooling around! I think I will invest in some sort of sitting device for gardening - still hobbling on crutches and am hesitant to bend, twist, squat, reach, turn and all the other basic moves one does when gardening. bah.
Learned of the hotelier this morning who put a nest of Canada Geese eggs into the trash compactor. That pretty much set the tone for the whole day. Can you spell RUINED!.
I've written a letter to Environment Canada.
A friend called me from Cancun and was going to buy me a HardRock Cafe pin for my collection. They didn't have the classic ones and I like to be the purchaser - it is all about me being in the location. The thought was truly lovely.
Been attached to my computer most of the weekend. I'm late with my tax prep. oh well. One batch down and one to go. The difficult one. Me.
We saw the Daniel Lapp quartet on Wednesday at the Gateway Theatre - fabulous musicians. Too bad the Richmond Concert Association has lost their funding - I may go to their AGM and volunteer for either the publicist or fundraising position. Am I nuts? Could be. I'm not promising anything - would be fun for me. I have time yet to make up my mind.
On Mothers Day we went to the Eagles concert. The Eagles Assisted Living Tour - is what they called it on stage. We laughed - it was perfect. The songs just never stopped coming.
Before the concert we were driving back from Whistler (yes again) This time we sat in on an author lecture featuring Lawrence Hill - "The Book of Negroes" They are going to make a movie of it. He is working with someone on the screenplay right now. He was very nice, signed my copy and I bought 3 more of his older books. The new one about the Iraqi war was not there that night. Too bad - I'll have to get it somewhere else. I'll bet it will be interesting. I do like the way he writes.

So it will be a busy week ahead - I have to prep for a birthday dinner for my son. I'm going to make the Halekulani Coconut Cake for desert and I think I'll take a stab at that citrus salmon again. It was truly yummy; and bbq chicken for the man who doesn't like salmon. What is this? A freakin' restaurant? Do I have this kind of time to devote to a little of this and little of that and some for me and repeat?! No, but I do it. Silly me. Cause that is what I do. I wish I could take a day off for this. Busy time for the scientists so that is a no go.
Well look at the time - I've promised banana choc-chip muffins so I better get to it.

All caught up? Good enough for now! You're welcome!Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-73786544743132182382010-05-03T16:23:00.000-07:002010-05-03T16:23:04.204-07:00This will be a better week.Hockey! Ladies and Gentlemen it is Hockey Night in Canada!
Go-Canucks-Go!
Looking forward to the game tonight - will they outskate them again tonight? Sure hope so.
Thinking about buying myself a Canuck's jersey - just don't know what kind.
They are expense now too. $169 at Collector's Den for a Luongo jersey. Speaking of Luongo - Is that an Olympic foreign hockey team jersey he wears under his uniform? Anyone notice? I saw it under his Team canada jersey in the final games of the Olympics. Was it Sweden's jersey?? Anyone?Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-20023504902176234772010-04-24T15:06:00.000-07:002010-04-24T15:06:18.863-07:00Conferences just have a mind of their own.So here I am in Whistler, medical conference on a break, back at it in 30 minutes.
Hotel is lovely - food is fabulous, staff have been amazing, doctors are happy. That is a good thing.
However they have a tendency to write their own rules and change the program to suit the mood (such as the hockey game last night) Thank goodness the chef hadn't started to do major cooking when they decided they would move the after dinner talk to before dinner. Staff = amazing, yes I'll repeat myself.
My student is doing a wonderful job. I think she is enjoying herself immensely.
Quite possible we are the only people in the hotel - at least it feels like it. Very quiet here.
Had traditional lunch and a couple of demonstrations at the Squamish/Lillooet Cultural Centre. Then came back to the room for a rest. I hit the wall about 11am. - Will I make til the end of dinner? Nothing that coffee and eyedrops won't fix. 3:30 for apres ski refreshments and then the robotic talk by Goldenberg. - I love listening to him speak - there is humour, drama, science, facts and amazing pictures. He is such a good speaker.
Well that is about it for now. We will check out the village and do a few things like that tomorrow after check out.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-72024407159215121372010-04-13T22:11:00.000-07:002010-04-13T22:11:48.699-07:00Just amused myselfHa Ha, Just took a walk down memory lane and reviewed all my older posts. It's interesting how you hear yourself from the way these posts read. Gives me a chuckle.

Anyway friend of mine - Kozy Kids and Kozy Canines.etsy.com just had one of her finch eggs hatch. Hooray and congratulations a baby finch. That one just might find a home here with me. We'll see.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-32183591904125546732010-04-11T22:32:00.000-07:002010-04-11T22:32:16.917-07:00Where did that weekend go?I guess I am always asking a question of sorts these days.
I didn't really see the sunshine this weekend - too much to do indoors and I had to go the dentist. That was a surprise - didn't have an alert pop up at me the day before so at 0900 I retrieved a voice mail that said "you have an appointment at 11:00"
Well that pretty much instantly put me in a grumpy mood - headache AND the dentist? oh boy - such a day for me! Seems I get to go back to my old regime of see the beloved dentist 3 times a year - bone loss = deeper pockets in the gums = larger margins = means I really have to floss every day to disturb any bacteria. This will help.
I promise I will floss every day. Write this 100 time for it to sink in. I'm sure all of you out there floss more than once a day and now you look at me poorly. Oh well, they say my brushing is very good.

Spent Sunday working on my doctors conference coming up. It is looking marvelous. But where in the heck is my little BCIT student? I do believe she is MIA. Must PHONE her - emailing doesn't work too well it seems. Maybe I scared her. I better check with her mom (a really good friend of mine)

I consulted my Vegan with a Vengance cookbook and came up with Maple Walnut Cookies for "cookie monday" - turned out pretty good, the boy has consumed 4 and the man has had 3. I scooped for the office before they've had at them. I've had one and I think I'll have another as a reward for everything I've done today. It is 10:32 and I'm signing off.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-8131166710795276272010-04-10T18:24:00.000-07:002010-04-10T18:27:03.143-07:00Mark Knopfler last nightWell after that grueling day it was nice to sit at the theatre and people-watch. We marvel at looking to see who comes to the concerts we choose to go to. We are finding there are vast differences in the audiences. I guess that means we have a vast taste in music.
The show started right on time at 7:30 with an opening act Pieta Brown and Bo Ramsey, a simple but complex and haunting duo with shades of the south or ozarks. Her voice seemed the same in all the songs but what saved her was the repositioning of the capo on her guitar with each song. She was a very good artist, don't get me wrong. Something definitely different. She announced that she is fortunate to be doing the entire tour with Mark.

Intermission then the headliners. Great setup on stage, the entire Dire Straits group plus an number of others. We decide that Mark was paying the guys enough that he insisted they all have nice shoes. Nothing scuffed or sneaker/like was seen. How refreshing.

The lighting was the best I've seen for a long time if not ever. One, maybe 2 songs that I knew and the rest were off the new cd for sure with blue grass overtones and what I'll deem as celt-lantic sounds with some traditional Knopfler styling interspersed. I felt the concert may have been wasted on me as it truly was a musicians concert, not that I didn't enjoy it - it was thinking man's concert for those who know music - maybe I've just not been subjected to him enough. There was film footage smattered here and there throughout the night but what was really unique was the cameras strategically placed on the mic stand and on the end of his guitar. We witnessed his playing and fingering. All these touches added to what was a wonderful evening.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-15133443108192944482010-04-09T18:23:00.000-07:002010-04-09T18:23:51.848-07:00I could have sworn I wrote something yesterday......I know I logged in last night. Thought about writing, obviously it didn't materialize. Oh well.
Today is another day. Met a couple of very bright doctors at the cancer agency. They took turns giving the man the once over. Bottom line is he is reasonably healthy but does indeed need surgery. Boo.
So back to the orginal doctor we go. Once the original one and the new one get their facts in order we should have an appointment and some pretty invasive face surgery done. He has slow growing cancer in the epidermis. They don't want to leave it even though it is somewhat contained. Man, pay attention, for crying out loud - it's cancer - get rid of it. Now. Like 4 weeks ago. But a 2nd opinion is allowed and we've done that and we are all good. No major trips planned - so no tickets to worry about cashing in, a bit of a driving trip planned but we will play that one by ear. Let's get better and get on with our lives.
A word to the wise - No more sun worshipping, ok? People, are you listening? Lots of sunscreen, glasses, hats etc. Off to see Mark Knopfler now. Nice reward for visiting the doctor today. oh and a ps: the doctor has a piano that needs tuning and wouldn't you know it he also has 4, count em, 4 accordions that need a bit of an inspection. HAHAHAHHA Yes we gave him our card.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-40211915290680046722010-04-06T22:10:00.000-07:002010-04-06T22:10:09.492-07:00Red Devils Food Cake for the VirginianSo somebody at work will turn 50 tomorrow - ha ha - no sympathy from me, buddy!
My colleague, Amy, (who is the cake baker of the world) is decorating his office and I will make a Red Devils Food Cake (from scratch).

The only problem is I put it into the oven at 9:00 - what is the problem you ask? What time do you think I will frost it? - My guess is the morning. ugh - it will be fresher that way I suppose - no crumbs because it will be cool.

Hope I sleep tonight. Brought work home and don't see myself doing it. Bring it home, take it back and repeat.

I tried all day today - some success but the files are in some cryptic format so I don't know how I would work with them from this drive - thought it would be nice to use laptop as a tool instead of a storage facility; therefore having the external drive as the storage facility. Not so. Dilemma - do I buy another external drive and see how it behaves? or just get a bigger, more powerful laptop and hope that I don't lose it or have it stolen. If I get a new one it means a lot of trauma for me: learning new windows applications, transferring files, having the Hospital do their magic to it. Decisions, decisions. A new one would be nice - I could run parallel for a while while I learn the new applications. Syncing my blackberry is causing me grief too. Oh drat technology.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-68635391141510011612010-04-01T21:09:00.000-07:002010-04-01T21:49:46.593-07:00Where has the year gone - April 1 alreadyWell let's see where this takes us, shall we....Let's recap - new baby has moved to Kamloops sans father, Kozy Kids = Kozy Canines (I'm waiting to see a whole new line of coats in pleather, faux alligator and mink, it is Easter weekend and what will I cook - maybe Mrs Humblepie has a solution for me - must check on her blog to see "what's cookin'".
Taxes are a creepin' up on me - ugh - I hate accounting. Did I tell you I hate accounting? Well I hate accounting.
I have decided to maintain a neutral position in my mental being. I'm tired of encouraging people to look after themselves. I can only do so much - my thoughts, concerns, or suggestions aren't appreciated, acknowledged or even considered, so why waste my time, energy, thoughts, emotions or breath. - It is going to be mighty quiet around here.

Gee I just want to be good at something. Everything is always a struggle and a scramble. I want to be recognized, awarded and rewarded.

Well this post has pretty much gone into the toilet so I'll just call it a day.....Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-6723440961634738802010-03-24T16:00:00.000-07:002010-03-24T16:03:25.288-07:00Shout out to the rappers in the fam.....www.myspace.com/iralee

an up an comer, Canadian, currently based in Montreal, formerly from Edmonton and Regina.
Yo cuz' go cuz'Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-88688167189987432152010-03-24T15:31:00.000-07:002010-03-24T15:38:09.286-07:00EspanaIn the attempts to make me feel better a very good friend of mine tried to entice me to a cooking school in Malaga (area) Spain instead of Tuscany. Reason being this place is offering a 2fer1 in May $980usd flat for 2 people for a week, ground transport, accommodation, meals, school, tours for 6 nights. Such a deal!
Soooo tempting but I'm broke and still broken. Food for thought tho, (no pun intended) perhaps next year. The proprietors hail from Seattle.Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-67997414258167343792010-03-24T15:25:00.000-07:002010-03-24T15:29:56.996-07:00Locked in my room on very sunny dayI feel like crap.
Went to work, no, let me re-phrase that, I went to the parkade, burst into tears, called in sick and went home.
It is sunny, I didn't really LOCK myself in my room but I did roll back the covers and shut the doors - don't want to talk to anyone, don't want to see anyone, the window is open, the wasps are flying in and out, the birdies are sort of singing, little children are babbling infrequently.
Soup, clear consomme, licorice tea, perrier, hope that fixes what ails me.
And of course T-1's for the screaming headache I've had all day.
Don't you feel better now?!Ouijhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08551106016078228341noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-198024840817793122.post-53972926124065646732010-03-23T22:39:00.000-07:002010-03-23T22:41:01.858-07:00Feels like WednesdayWow, what a day - intense-o-meter scale of 8.
